UTME 2019: Latest update on when to start checking Jamb results – The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially disclosed that the results of the 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) will be announced by 10:00 am on Saturday.The registrar of the board, Ishaq Oloyede, disclosed this while briefing journalists in Abuja on Friday.

It was also gathered the board has banned 100 of the 687 Computer Based Test (CBT) centres over allegation of malpractices and violation of extant regulations.

The board’s spokesperson, Dr Fabian Benjamin, who spoke with The Guardian yesterday, says JAMB would start announcing the results before weekend.

Over 1.8 million candidates are expected to sit for the board’s UTME that commenced nationwide on April 11.

Benjamin also insisted that no result had been released yet.

He explained that the board was still screening the results as the examination was ongoing and also because more fraudulent activities were being identified in the process.

“We have to keep screening these results because there are lots of issues we discovered like multiple registrations, impersonation and the likes, so we are still fishing them out.

“Some have been arrested and those yet to be arrested, we have their records, we will fish then out. However, candidates should expect their results very soon,” he said.

How to check JAMB result

Step 1: Go to JAMB UTME e-Registration Portal: https://www.jamb.org.ng/efacility

Step 2: Enter your details (correct email address and password), log in and click on the box ”Check 2019 UTME Examination Results”.

Step 3: Your exam score will be displayed or shows ”You Do Not Have Any Result Yet.”

Some candidates will first receive their results via the email and their mobile numbers used for the exam registration.

Note: Should you see message ”You do not have any result yet”, don’t panic. Most candidates who have written their exams one to three days earlier are expected to see their results online. Just keep checking.
