  • A Coinbase executive uses ChatGPT’s “jailbreak” to find out how likely crazy crypto situations are.
  • One crazy prediction says, “Aliens have come to Earth, and the government is hiding it.”
  • ChatGPT gave this prediction a 10% chance of coming true.

A Coinbase employee says he has found a “jailbreak” for the artificial intelligence tool ChatGPT that lets it figure out the likelihood of strange crypto price scenarios.

The head of business operations at a cryptocurrency exchange, Conor Grogan, is a big fan of ChatGPT. On April 30, he tweeted a picture of the results, which showed that ChatGPT says there is a 15% chance that Bitcoin will “fade to irrelevance” by 2035, with prices falling more than 99.99%.

In the meantime, the robot gave Ether a 20% chance of becoming useless and getting close to a price of near zero by 2035.ChatGPT was even less sure about Litecoin and Dogecoin, putting the chances of them going to near zero at 35% and 45%, respectively.

The executive from Coinbase came to the conclusion that ChatGPT is “generally” a “big fan” of Bitcoin but is “more sceptical” about altcoins.

Before the cryptocurrency predictions, Grogan asked ChatGPT to give a chance to a few political predictions about Russian President Vladimir Putin, U.S. President Joe Biden, and former U.S. President Donald Trump.

Other statements were about how AI would affect people, religion, and the possibility of aliens. One crazy prediction says, “Aliens have come to Earth, and the government is hiding it.”

ChatGPT gave this prediction a 10% chance of coming true.

The executive also gave out a script of the question, which he then sent to ChatGPT to build the tables.

Grogan said that the results were accurate because he had tried out the prompt more than 100 times.

“I ran this command 100 times on a memory that had been cleared, and GPT 3.5 and 4 always gave me the same numbers; the standard deviation wasIt’s not the first time the executive has used ChatGPT to try out things related to cryptography.

Grogan showed on March 15 that GPT-4, the latest version of ChatGPT, could find security holes in Ethereum smart contracts and give a plan for how to take advantage of them.

OpenAI, the team behind ChatGPT, has done studies that show GPT-4 can pass high school and law school tests with scores in the 90th percentile.

Also, Italy recently lifted a ban on the AI tool that had been in place for a month. The ban was put in place after a number of privacy issues were brought to the attention of Italian regulators.
