Enugu gets temporary UK visa application centre – In Enugu State, the British High Commission in Nigeria has opened a temporary visa submission centre.
The centre, located within the Omedel Luxury Hotel, will provide a twice-weekly service for NGN246,250.00. UK visa applicants may select Enugu as their application location.
The commission stated that it will closely monitor the demand for visa services at the Enugu centre and, if sufficient demand exists, may expand the service. At least three months will be devoted to evaluating service demand and making decisions regarding the center’s continuation.
The inauguration of the Enugu centre is part of the British government’s efforts to facilitate visa applications by Nigerians. Recently, the commission launched visa application centres in Kano and Maiduguri.
Nigerians applying for British visas will presumably welcome the news. The closest visa application centres were previously located in Abuja, Lagos, and Port Harcourt.
